Founded in January 2022, Claremont Martial Arts and Fitness Academy began with humble surroundings, a brick floor and a low roof, but from day one, the standard of teaching set it apart. Year after year, CMAF has produced district, provincial, and national champions, proving that excellence is born from commitment, not luxury. Growth has been steady, organic, and driven by passion for the martial arts and the people who practice them.

CMAF is not just another training facility; it is a sanctuary, a safe haven, and a community. It is a place where students of all ages feel welcomed, guided, and supported. The academy exists not to chase profit, but to serve, especially those who may not have access to distant or expensive dojos. Here, respect, discipline, humility, and compassion are lived values, taught alongside every technique.
From beginners to seasoned veterans, young and old, CMAF caters to everyone. With up to eight disciplines available, students are encouraged to explore, grow, and find their own path within the martial arts. A dedicated group of committed students helps uphold the spirit of the dojo, reinforcing a culture of teamwork, hard work, and continuous improvement, becoming better each day by just 1%.

With 41 years of personal experience and over 100 years of combined knowledge among Sensei and Coaches, CMAF stands firmly on a foundation of proven tradition and modern understanding. Goju Ryu and Okinawan Karate form the core, complemented by tested systems in fighting, grappling, close combat, and fitness. This is a true academy, where theory meets practice, history meets innovation, and students are developed not only as martial artists, but as disciplined, confident individuals.
